Buy a print, and help me go to Scotland!

This summer, I will be participating in the Scotland Field School in Documentary Photojournalism through Ohio University’s Office of Education Abroad.  During my time there, I will be earning fifteen hours of university credit while taking classes to learn about documentary photography and producing picture stories, while living at Napier University near Edinburgh.  This program will be beneficial to me in that it will improve my shooting abilities and provide some experience with working as a photojournalist in a foreign country, as well as fulfilling some of my class requirements so that I will be able to take a semester away from school for a longer internship.

To help offset the costs of travel, classes, and living in Edinburgh, I am collecting donations via PayPal in exchange for prints of the photos I will be making during my time in Scotland.  Any amount you wish to donate will be much appreciated.  While I am in Scotland, I will be posting the photos I take on this blog, and will post a gallery with a variety of shots for donors to choose their prints from upon my return.

Here is the breakdown of donation quantities and correlating print sizes:

  • PLEDGE $5 OR MORE - Donors receive a 4×6 signed print from the project.
  • PLEDGE $10 OR MORE - Donors receive a 5×7 signed print from the project.
  • PLEDGE $15 OR MORE - Donors receive a 8×10 signed print from the project.
  • PLEDGE $25 OR MORE - Donors receive a 11×14 signed print from the project.
  • PLEDGE $50 OR MORE - Donors receive a 11×14 signed print and a set of 5 4×6 signed prints from the project.
  • PLEDGE $75 OR MORE - Donors receive a 16×24 signed print from the project.
  • PLEDGE $100 OR MORE - Donors receive a 16×24 signed print and a set of 5 4×6 signed prints.
I will be in Scotland from June 23 til July 29, and will be posting the gallery the week after I return.

Thanks for your interest!

Brien; I have known your father forever – he’s a good man whom I admire a great deal. I have also been to Scotland (Aberdeen and Edinburgh) and found it a lovely place (don’t go in the North Sea, you will freeze) with lovely people.
… I am also a lover of travel (living in Germany presently) and also an avid photog (check some of my pics on FB).
… So, I pledge $100. But just the 4×6′s would be grand (signed, for when you become famous).
